Remembering Joe Rubinstein on this Holocaust Remembrance Day
While I miss Joe Rubinstein every day since his passing last summer at the age of 101, this Holocaust Remembrance Day seems especially heavy and sad without him. It is times like this that I force myself to remember the remarkable day in 2015 when Joe saw the faces of some of his beloved family…faces that he hadn't seen since he was taken from the Radom Ghetto (Poland) in 1941. Pictured here is Joe holding those photos of his older brother, Dawid (left); his beloved mother, Reska; and his identical twin, Chaim. (All were believed murdered at the Treblinka Death Camp, along with two other of Joe’s siblings who are not pictured here.) It is my profound prayer that Joe is with them all on this day in Heaven. I pray they all know that the world will never forget their precious lives and the lives of all those lost in the Holocaust horror. To learn about Joe’s of hope: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VRZ40B2/
