The Kansas Book Festival - Great Fun!
Thanks to all the organizers, staff/volunteers/vendors/authors/musicians, and attendees who made the Kansas Book Festival (Topeka, Kansas) a great success. Yesterday, I had a great time with many Kansas authors at the festival…held this year at Washburn University. It was a gorgeous day. I enjoyed signing books and spending time with Jim Dultmeier (father of Jennifer Dultmeier the subject of our powerful book: On Shattered Wings). It was great meeting so many book enthusiasts from all over the midwest.
One of the highlights of the day was hearing my dear friend and Topeka author (former major league…two-time Golden Glove award-winner for baseball) Ken Berry sing impromptu “Me and Bobby McGee.”
Thanks to all those who made the event possible to support authors and bookstores.
